We're hiring! Finance, Development & Production / by James Huggins

The Lead Developer and Finance Manager positions have now been filled and we are no longer accepting applications for the Production Assistant position. Thanks to everyone who either applied or helped spread the word. Hopefully it won't be too long before we look to expand the team once again.

Lead Developer

Made in Me is a multi-award wining children's digital media company based in Shoreditch in East London and we're currently looking for a full-time developer to join an outstanding creative team. The projects are largely mobile in nature with web based components playing an important part both from a front and back-end perspective. You should be adventurous, easy going and flexible, being able to switch from top level client and partner meetings to fixing a dodgy website form with ease.

Ideally your comfort zone would be all things web including HTML, JavaScript and JSON with proficiency in native mobile development for either iOS or Android being a bonus but not essential. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn all manner of new skills in the mobile space as we develop user experiences and platforms that punch above their weight.

Finance Manager

This is a challenging role requiring a technically proficient, commercially-minded individual with excellent communication and time-management skills.

In this ‘hands on’ role you will effectively manage the day to day finance function of the company including bookkeeping, cash management and credit control, royalty accounting and management accounts, reporting directly to the board of directors.

  • Strong academic background with appropriate accounting qualification
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience of the media sector preferred but not essential
  • Royalty accounting experience helpful
  • High level of Excel knowledge

Production Assistant

We need a bright spark to come and work in our production team! The role would incorporate both production and marketing responsibilities. You would have a good knowledge of Photoshop, FCP, Microsoft Office and all things internet. An interest in marketing and PR, or at least the thirst to learn the ropes, would be a benefit. Overall you should just be driven and easy going, have a keen eye for detail, a creative mind and passion for all things digital.
