Next week we'll be speaking at the Digital Design Conference organised by the Society of Authors. This one day event was designed specifically for authors and illustrators to find out more about new opportunities for content creators in the digital space. The event will be held in London on Wednesday 19th March and other than ourselves of course (ahem) there are some great speakers.
We'll be at the amazing Discover Story Centre next month at an evening event that explores the various opportunities the digital space can offer artists. It's part of a series of masterclass events run by Discover for professionals working in any area of children's storytelling whether that be creators, agents, publishers or developers!

The Discover centre is an incredible place and if you haven't already visited with the kids we strongly urge you to do so! Here's a little bit about the centre:
Discover’s overarching mission is to spark children and adults’ imagination, curiosity and creativity in a magical and stimulating environment. We offer a variety of programmes including schools workshops, family art activities, a literature programme led by children’s writers and illustrators, community and education projects, artist residencies in schools and training for professionals that work with children and families. In The Studio we commission artists to create multi-sensory installations and exhibitions. Each year over 100,000 people benefit from our programmes.
As any app developer knows, it can be a tough old slog getting to market and making it work commercially. We find nothing quite cures a rough day at the office / studio / bedroom quite like swapping notes with all the lovely folk in the same boat. The talented and lovely Chris O'Shea, founder of kids app developer Cowly Owl, took it upon himself to start organising a series of get togethers in London where anyone involved in the children's app space could get together, have a few drinks and share advice, stories and support. In short, it's a brilliant idea and if you go you'll pretty much see a few of the Made in Me team there.
If you'd like to join the group simply contact Chris by clicking here. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
