Peppa Pig joins the Me Books family by James Huggins

Peppa Pig Me Books

At the end of last year we created a new e-book reader technology called Me Books. With it you can create book apps that allow kids to personalise their favourite stories by recording their own narration and sound. The first app to use this tech was Ladybird Classic Me Books, a collaboration with our friends at Penguin. The app went to No. 1 in the UK book app charts for both iPad and iPhone and won several awards including being named Best Entertainment App of 2011 by Apps Magazine.

So we're very excited to announce the launch of another Me Books app. Going from golden oldies to modern classics Peppa Pig Me Books brings everyone's favourite porcine posse to the Me Books platform. The app contains 10 brilliant Peppa Pig story books published by Ladybird. One book is included with the app whilst the rest are available through in-app purchase.

There are lots more Me Books apps in the pipeline as well as some big plans afoot but we'll keep you posted of course! For now, why not swing over to the iTunes app store and show the kids your very best "Oink Oink"?

The Little Interview - Eric Huang - Publishing Director at Penguin by Harry

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Eric Huang is the snazziest dresser in town and the life and soul of the party. We have the pleasure of working closely with him and fondly refer to him as The E Man. Once a week we exchange razor sharp banter over a few cheeky pints. This is how all working relationships should be. It is my dream to one day own the same pair of glasses as him. Here is some inside knowlegde on Eric and what he got up to as a child.

Eric loves this photo of himself because his Dad looks 'badass'.
